I’m Katherine Barrier, a professional freelance writer and editor with over a decade of experience in news, magazine and marketing content across both print and digital platforms. In addition to freelancing, I have had an exciting career in digital journalism, reporting on news, arts & culture, food & dining and music in the Cincinnati area, first in TV news at Local 12-WKRC and then at our city’s alt-weekly, CityBeat.

As a writer, I take the facts and turn them into stories. As an editor, I take stories and fortify them without losing the writer’s voice. I’m versatile, but no matter what I do, I’m a journalist first. This means I’m dedicated to accuracy, quality and fairness in everything I produce.
